Potassium chromate is the inorganic compound with the formula (K₂CrO₄). This yellow solid is the potassium salt of the chromate anion.

Lemon-yellow crystals; d 2.73; mp 975 ^oC; soluble in 1.6 parts cold, 1.2 parts boiling water. Insoluble in alco.hol. The aquous solution is alkaline to litmus or phenolphthalene.
 
It is a common laboratory chemical, whereas sodium chromate is important industrially. It is a class two carcinogen as it contains hexavalent chromium.

Uses: In enamels, finishing leather, rustproofing of metals, as reagent in analytical chemistry.

Product Details:

Potassium Chloride (KCl) is a metal halide salt composed of potassium and chlorine. In its pure state, it is odorless and has a white or colorless vitreous crystal appearance. The solid dissolves readily in water and its solutions have a salt-like taste. KCl is used in medicine, scientific applications, and food processing.

Uses:

• It is used in medicine, food processing, and as a sodium-free substitute for table salt for persons concerned about its health effects.
