Gluconic acid 50% is an organic compound with molecular formula C6H12O7 and condensed structural formula HOCH2(CHOH)4COOH.
APPLICATIONS:-
Gluconic acid is its excellent chelating power, especially in alkaline and concentrated alkaline solutions. In this respect, it surpasses all other chelating agents, such as EDTA, NTA, and related compounds. Calcium, iron, copper, aluminum and other heavy metals are firmly chelated in alkaline solution and masked in such a way that their interferences are eliminated.Gluconic acid occurs naturally in fruit, honey. As a food additive (E574), it is an acidity regulator.
In metal finishing baths for aluminium etching.
In metal plating processing baths.
In cleaning formulations in dairy and beer industry for removal of milk and beer stone.
In bottle washing formulations for removal of calcium scales and labels.
In textile industry as stabilizers for dye baths and bleach baths.
In water - based paint formulations and in alkaline paint stripping formulations.
In leather tanning and dyeing processes.
In mortar and concrete admixes as retarder and plasticizer (after neutralization with alkali).
As raw material for the manufacture of gluconate salts like Calcium, Sodium, Potassium, Manganese.

Citric acid is a natural occurring fruit acid, produced commercially by microbial fermentation of a carbohydrate substrate. Citric acid is the most widely used organic acid and pH-control agent in foods, beverages, pharmaceuticals and technical applications.
Citric acid anhydrous occurs as colourless crystals or as white, crystalline powder with a strongly acidic taste. It is very soluble in water, freely soluble in ethanol (96 %) and sparingly soluble in ether.
Citric acid anhydrous is non-toxic and has a low reactivity. It is chemically stable if stored at ambient temperatures. Citric acid anhydrous is fully biodegradable and can be disposed of with regular waste or sewage.

used in drugs, dyes, pesticides. Displacement of chloride by sulfide gives thioglycolic acid, which is used as a stabilizer in PVC and a component in some cosmetics.
In its largest-scale application, chloroacetic acid is used to prepare the thickening agent carboxymethyl cellulose and carboxymethyl starch and EDTA.
